SimplyPure™ Water Filter Installation Guide

It is recommended that installations where water pressure is over 80psi, a pressure regulator be installed before the system. It is recommended that the pressure regulator be set at 65psi. Minimum working pressure for the system is 40psi. Pressure less than 40psi is inadequate to maintain good water flow to the home when using a home filtering system.

Operating temperature range is 33 to 110 degrees. It is important to apply the same protection to the unit from potential damage caused by freezing as you would to plumbing pipes. If your unit is being installed outside, be certain to inform your plumber of the need to protect the system from exposure to extreme temperatures. Our warranty does not cover damage to the system caused by freezing or heat caused melting.

A licensed plumber/HVAC installer is required to install this unit to validate the one-year warranty.

INSTRUCTIONS

Read all operating instructions carefully before installation.
Do not install where the in-coming line pressure exceeds 80 PSI.
Install on in-coming cold water line.
Install the system upright.
Verify that the “in” port side housing has a sediment filter and the “out” port side housing has the KDF/GAC filter.
Use thick Teflon tape for thread sealing.
Install for PVC plumbing using schedule 40 or schedule 80 PVC piping and fittings.
Install for copper plumbing requires care not to solder to close to filter housing as this may cause irreparable damage.
A minimum of 6” clearance is needed below system for service.
Flush system for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to use.
It is recommended that a bypass system be constructed to allow for continued water flow to the home during servicing. This can be done by installing three ball valves, one prior to the system, one after the system, and one on the bypass loop.
Installation must comply with existing State or local plumbing code and permit requirements.
